Obituary of Melvin Butt

BUTT, Melvin J. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, June 21, 2003, Melvin J. Butt of Carbonear, age 71 years. Predeceased by parents: John and Margaret; son: Kevin; brothers: William T. and James P.; sisters: Marjorie, Clara, Margaret and Dorothy. Leaving to mourn wife: Helen; two sons: Michael (Kate), Carbonear and Anthony (Shirley), Thickett; three daughters: Kathleen (Ambrose) Young and Patricia (Donald) Butt, both of Carbonear and Marie (Darrin) Bruce, St. John's; eleven grandchildren: Tina (Garry), Laura, Michael, David, Kevin (Wanda), Chrystal, Stephen, Stephanie, Kelly, Samantha and Daniel; four great grandchildren: Garry, Jamie, Jacqueline and Ashley; one sister: Nellie Francis, Toronto, ON; special niece: Shirley (Melvin) Chipp, Toronto, ON; also a large number of other nieces, nephews as well as other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear and from where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 24 at 10:00 a.m. Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Carbonear. Flowers gratefully accepted, or as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Dialysis Unit Health Science Centre, St. John's.
