JOHNSON, John - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, August 2, 2003, John Johnson of Gull Island, age 84 years. Predeceased by wife: Julia; son: Patrick, brothers: Bernard and Thomas and sisters: Bridie, Mary Agnes, Winnie and Ann. Leaving to mourn: two daughters: Theresa (David) Traverse, Small Point and Elizabeth Johnson (Louis Perry), Gull Island; three sons: Michael, Anthony (Judy) and Gerald, all of Gull Island; nine grandchildren: Julia Ann (Gordon), Scott (Wendy), Joshua, Julie (Terry), Yvonne (Jason), Diannah, Stephanie, Jessica and Amanda; one great-granddaughter: Angela; one brother: Morgan (Vera), St. John's; two sisters: Bessie McCarthy and Nellie Johnson, both of Gull Island; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, MAIN HIGHWAY, WESTERN BAY and from where the funeral will take place on Monday, August 4 at 10:00 a.m. Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Northern Bay. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery Fund, Northern Bay.
