MOORES, Mary Jane - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Monday, August 11, 2003, Mary Jane Moores of Blackhead, age 85 years. Predeceased by first husband: Thomas Butt and second husband: Allan Moores; two infant daughters: Ethel and Mabel; son: Donald; grandson: Timothy; four brothers and four sisters. Leaving to mourn three daughters: Edna (Leonard) King, Victoria, Bernice (David) Hollett, Adams Cove and Sandra (Nolan) Baggett, Blackhead; three sons: George (Rosemarie) and Clyde (Arlee), both of Winnipeg; John (Shirley), Salmon Cove; two step-daughters: Naomi (Earl) Rogers, Old Perlican and Marion (Allan) Slade, Victoria; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three sisters: Mabel Thompson, Bay Roberts, Janet (Hedley) Harris, Broad Cove and Eileen Avery, St. John's; one sister-in-law: Freda Cull, Broad Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, Main Highway, Western Bay until 12:00 noon Wednesday, August 13. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Blackhead. No flowers by request; as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Dialysis Unit, St. John's or the North Shore Ambulance Fund.
