WICKS, E. Hayward - Passed away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, November 13, 2003, E. Hayward Wicks of Burnt Point, age 78 years. Predeceased by parents: Eli and Susanna; brothers: Elijah, Ishmel, Joshua, Melvin Roy and John Thomas; sisters: Violet and Mary Ann. Leaving to mourn wife: Dorothy; one daughter: Judy (Bruce) Soper, Carbonear; one son: Gary (Margaret), Burnt Point; two grandchildren: Joel Soper and Amanda Wicks; two sisters: Mildred Tucker, Topsail and Rebecca (Charles) Oliver, Burnt Point; sisters-in-law: Mary Ann Wicks, Burnt Point, Sarah (Ellis) Oliver, Northern Bay and Ada (John) Robbins, Caplin Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, MAIN HIGHWAY, WESTERN BAY until 12:00 noon Sunday, November 16. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Calvary United Church and Cemetery, Burnt Point. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the North Shore Ambulance or Calvary United Church, Burnt Point.
