Penney of Salmon Cove, age 93 years. Predeceased by wife: Mabel; daughter: Mary Carolyn; sons: Rayburn and Woodrow; brother: Chesley; sisters: Janie Rose and Beatrice Penney. Leaving to mourn two daughters: Nina (Morley) Rowe, Fogo Island and Yvonne (Doug) Butt, Norman's Cove; one son: Harris (Doreen), Salmon Cove; sixteen grandchildren: Ray, Curtis, Danita, Sharon, Eileen, Rodney, Stephen, Sherrie, Randy, Wade, Kimberley, Carolyn, Cavelle, Michelle, Stephen and David; thirty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers: Herbert Penney and Reuben (Marjorie) Penney, both of Salmon Cove and Eugene (Lillian) Penney, Toronto, ON; one sister: Edna (Sandy) Butt, Carbonear; special niece: Inez Gedge, Fairbanks; daughters-in-law: Joan Penney and Bernice Penney, both of Salmon Cove; sister-in-law: Susie Butt, Freshwater; Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 12:00 noon Friday, March 26. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church and Cemetery, Salmon Cove. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Riverside United Cemetery Fund, Salmon Cove.
