Obituary of Hattie Milley

(May 17, 1921 - January 13, 2016) Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her loving family, at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, Hattie Milley of Western Bay, age 94 years. Predeceased by: husband: Edward; sons: Calvin, Malcolm and Wilbert; parents: Jabez and Mary Ann Sellars; step-mother: Florence Sellars; sisters: Mary, Effie, Beatrice and Melina; half sister: Jean; half brothers: Edward, Kenneth and Joseph. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Florence (Sam) Green, Blackhead and Brenda (Ralph) Brookings, Western Bay; son: Bruce (Bernadette), Western Bay; daughter-in-law: Linda Milley, St. John’s; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; half sisters: Mildred (Boyd) Wheadon and Florence (Morley) Button, both of Western Bay; brother-in-law: Malcolm (Winnie) Milley, Western Bay and in-laws: Hilda Sellars, Old Perlican and Leona Sellars, Western Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Thursday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, January 16 at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Western Bay South.
