Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Friday, August 12, 2016, Stanley C. Squibb of Carbonear, age 87 years. Predeceased by parents: John and Wilamena; brothers: Maxwell, John, Graham, Walter and Hayward; sisters: Rhoda and Hilda. Leaving to mourn, wife: Margaret; one daughter: Tina (Terry) Emberley, Carbonear; one son: John (Michelle), Conception Bay South; four grandchildren: Tara (Christopher), Rebecca, Trista and Joshua; one brother: Eldred, Carbonear; special friend: Danielle Short, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Friday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, August 14 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to St. James Anglican Church, 13 Bond Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1C4.
