Obituary of David Janes

April 25, 1946 - September 28, 2016 Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, David Janes of Carbonear, age 70 years. Predeceased by parents: George W. and Drucella; brothers: Clarence and John; sisters: Phyllis (John) Cornish and Hilda (Bert) Power. Leaving to mourn, three brothers: Ambrose (Phyllis) and George (Peggy), both of Carbonear, and Leo (Debbie), St. John’s; sisters-in-law: Evelyn Janes, Carbonear and Iris Janes, Truro, NS; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Rev. John Davis, Rev. Glenn Jarvis, Rev. Wilson Gonese, members of Bethany Men’s Service Club and Bethany United Church Choir. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
