Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, Lloyd Barrett of Carbonear, age 69 years. Predeceased by parents: John and Emma; brothers: John and Bill; sisters: Alice and Doris. Leaving to mourn, wife: Joyce; daughter: Sherri (Barry) Gosse, Mount Pearl; son: John (Erin), Leduc, AB; three grandchildren: Victoria, Jack, and Katy; brother: David (Brenda), Milton, ON; sister: Shirley Barrett, Milton, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Monday, December 26 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, December 27 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, December 27 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Inurnment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Carbonear Academy School Lunch Program, 88 Valley Road, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A7.
