Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Sunday, January 1, 2017, Mary Butt of Blackhead, age 83 years. Predeceased by her mother: Jessie Cull; step-father: Clarence Cull; brothers: Llewellyn Butt, Charles (Myrtle) Butt, and Gordon Cull; sister: Beatrice (Eleazer) Morris. Leaving to mourn, one brother: Harold (Doreen), Old Perlican; sister-in-law: Mary Butt, Victoria; nephews: Ross Butt, Robert Butt, Gary Butt, and Glenn Butt; niece: Tanya Gadzos; her many friends and also the staff at Luxury Estates, Carbonear where she resided and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Western Bay on Monday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, January 3 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Interment in the United Cemetery, Blackhead. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the United Cemetery, Blackhead c/o Guy Bishop, General Delivery, Small Point, NL, A0A 1L0.
