Passed peacefully; but suddenly, away at her residence on Sunday, January 22, 2017, Juanita L. Penney Korpan of Salmon Cove; formerly of Victoria, age 47 years. Predeceased by husband: George Korpan and father: Tom Penney. Leaving to mourn, husband: Gerard Carpenter; step-son: Adam Carpenter, Harbour Grace; step-daughter: Karla Carpenter, Carbonear; mother: Linda Penney, Victoria; grandmother: Annie White, Victoria; two sisters: Juanella (Kevin) Slade, Victoria and Juanisa (Scott) Collins, St. John’s; nephew: Josh; nieces: Keri and Crystal (Brandon); great-nephew: Miles; step-mother: Hilda Penney, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, January 27 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Victoria. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Juanita Penney Korpan Memorial Fund, c/o Noel’s Funeral Homes, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
