Obituary of George E. Garland

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, George E. Garland of Carbonear, age 82 years. Predeceased by: parents: Robert and Mary; parents-in-law: Willis and Sarah Howell; sisters: Augusta ‘Gussie’, Pearl, Frances, and Clarrie. Leaving to mourn, wife: Ruby; one daughter: Kimberley, Carbonear; three sons: Kenneth (Pauline), David (Eileen), and Derek (Rita), all of Carbonear; seven grandchildren:  Krista, Robert, David, Sarah, Joshua, Jordan, and Garrett; five great-grandchildren: Zachary, Maya, Owen, Madelyn, and Emily; also a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, July 13 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the St. James Anglican Church Building Fund, P.O.
