Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, B. Douglas Johnson of Job's Cove, age 89 years. Predeceased by wife: Florrie; brother: Robert (Florence); sisters: Julia Belle (Allan) Pritchett, Eliza (Norman) Evelley, and Diana (Gordon) Button; son-in-law: Charlie Loveless; brother-in-law: Gordon (Jeanette) Bishop. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Joan Loveless, Seal Cove, Eileen, Clarenville, and Phyllis, Gander; two sons: Douglas H. (Ann Marie), St. John’s and Roger (Aileen), St. John’s; five grandchildren: Wayne, Kevin, Katherine, Nicole, and Samantha; sisters-in-law: Betty (Ray, deceased) Ryan and Dorothy (Woodrow, deceased) Bishop, both of La Scie; brother-in-law: Eric (Eileen, deceased) Andrews, La Scie; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Thursday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Job’s Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel, P.O.
