Martha Noel, aged 78, St. John's, passed away at Pleasantville Towers on Sunday, January 21, 2018, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Port Hope Labrador, formerly of Carbonear and St. John’s. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Gertie (Harris) Clarke. Predeceased by husband: Edward; infant daughter: Marlene; sisters: Jesse, Gerrie, Rodia, Anna, and Iris; brothers: Thomas, Alexander, Bill, Gerald, George, and Gerald. Leaving to mourn, five daughters: Dusty (John) Paiva, Gloria Noel (Harry), Joy Noel (Angela), Lisa Noel (Anthony), and Amanda (Giovanni) Cassia; son: Edward (Jennifer Capredoni); twelve grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
