Passed suddenly away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, John L. Butt of Placentia; formerly of Carbonear, age 57 years. Predeceased by father: Edward; brother: Shawn. Leaving to mourn, mother: Rita, Luxury Estates, Carbonear; partner: Loretta McGrath; two daughters: Nicole (Matthew) Drodge, Carbonear and Amanda (Matt) Crites, Leduc, AB, and her mother: Marilyn Butt, Wetaskiwin, AB; two grandchildren: Gavin and Aubree; four brothers: Raymond (Valerie), Dildo, Dave (Dorothy), Edberg, AB, Gary (Doreen Plouffe), Leduc, AB, and Donald (Patricia), Carbonear; one sister: Judy (Albert) Harris, Bristol’s Hope; sister-in-law: Gloria Butt, Riverhead, Hr. Grace; special friend: Mike Kovats, Wetaskiwin, AB; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Monday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the John L. Butt Memorial Fund, c/o Noel’s Funeral Home, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
