Maxine, Sherry, Dawn, Melvin, Andrew, The Layden and Porter families.
I was so saddened to hear of Wilson's passing.
Over the last 20 years, I've had the privilege to work with a lot of people as a member of the Victoria Council.
One of the most respected persons in this group will always be Wilson.
His straight forward, no excuse , help everyone, give a %110 at all times to anything he was involved in, especially the VVFD, and his fellow citizens were at the top of his list when it came to his Volunteer work in Victoria. He would go out of his way to help various other groups , whether it was cooking or selling tickets or other forms of fundraising, he was there.
The most noticeable part of his character was his ability to deal with any problem head on and at the same time keep everyones best interests at heart.
I could go on talking about his many attributes forever but I will say that I've had a great working relationship as a Councillor, Deputy Mayor and Mayor with Wilson and he always represented his VVFD, Town and especially his family with honor and Pride!
On behalf of the citizens, staff and council members of Victoria.
I want to express our gratitude for his many years of service to his
town and our most sincere condolences to his family. Please know that we are thinking of you all at this difficult time.
God Bless you all.
Mayor Barry Dooley
