Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, April 22, 2018, Philip R. Curran of Carbonear, age 80 years. Predeceased by parents: William and Agnes; infant son: Jeffrey; brother: Maurice; sister: Julia O'Grady; parents-in-law: George and Minie Rose. Leaving to mourn, wife: Elvie; five daughters: Christine Curran (Terry), Brenda Curran, Debbie (George) Baldwin, all of Ontario, Diane (Jim) Evely, Victoria, Linda Baldwin (Robert), Harbour Grace; two sons: Donald (Helen), Carbonear and Philip (Jean), Bay Roberts; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers: William (Mary), Dominic (Brenda), David (Cathy Ann), and Joseph; five sisters: Anastasia Furey, Elizabeth Cherry, Agnes (Wayne) Bishop, Catherine (Jim) Mercer, and Lucy Griffin; sister-in-law: Annie Curran; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Monday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, April 25 at 11:30 a.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear.
