Roger& Family, I Remember the phone ringing around 12:45 at night and when I answered I remember Rogers Shaky voice saying "Sarah my sister just passed away" I was stuck for words. She was a bright lilttle girl and was very strong. She made everyone smile. Every time I would go to Rogers house Brenda would be there and tell me about all her dalmations, which I enjoyed hearing because I knew how much she loved dalmation dogs. She was a beautiful girl and she done her best to keep strong. I am here for you Roger I always have been and I always will be. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time love your Best Friend: Sarah Garland xoxoxo

So sorry to hear of your beautiful daughters passing. It was such a nice story in Sunday's Evening Telegram. It is no doubt a very sad time for you all. Hang tight to your Faith, and Dad you keep singing your music, you touch so many. We were missing you at the Cafe In The Cove little did we realize what you must have been going through. I know Brenda would want you to keep singing, and all of you live your lives to the fullest as apparently she did while trying to overcome such a terrible disease. God Bless you all. Ethel.

Brenda truly was an inspiration to all of us who were fortunate enough to have gotten to know her, to watch her grow into the beautiful young woman she became, and to love her. I"ve know you guys since Brenda's journey began and was fortunate enough to get to know Bren both inside the hospital and outside...at Camp Delight last year. She's quite remarkable and foolish at times :) You never knew what was going to come out of her mouth but she had the smile that went right behind it. You would never be able to pass her in the hallways at school without getting that beautiful smile or seeing her laughing and licking her tounge out at you. I did not know Brenda. I knew she was beautiful from photos and people talking about her though. There was no doubt about that. We are new to the neighbourhood. I was very familiar with her struggle and prayed that she would get through it. My daughter came home today from CC with a Christmas bell pinned on her shirt for Brenda. She didn't really know why (being new). Later when we were chatting, she told a story about how Brenda, at Christmas, would walk around the halls with bells on her runners and you could hear the bells as she walked down the halls. During Math class, kids would say "That's Brenda!" We both realised the significane of the bell. God love her and keep her. God love you all. I know those bells will be heard for a long, long time.

To Jordan,Inez, Roger and Family, I cannot pen the words to truly express how I feel today as I heard from Guy about the passing of Brenda. She as a special place in my heart ever since my youth group days.I am sure your faith has been tested to a degree that those of us who have never experienced such a trial cannot imagine. Our affications would trouble us much less if we knew God's reason for sending them. However this is not always the case, sometimes we will never understand during our lifetime why God permits some things to happen. But John 14:18 says I will not leave you comfortless;I will come to you." Jesus said in Matthew 19:14 "Suffer little Children and forbid them not, to come unto me;for of such is the kingdom of God." To translate this in my words, " Let the children alone, don't stop them from coming to me. Don't you know that the kingdom of Heaven belongs to them." We must enter the kingdom of heaven with the simple faith and trust of a child, but a special place is reserved in the heart of the Lord for his young ones.. I know it is easy for me to say but you can thank God enough for loaning Brenda to you for 17 precious years and for the assure that you will see Brenda again when we are united with Christ after death. What a joyous renuion that will be when we see Brenda, Lorraine and Jim again! What a wonderful Saviour to provide the gift of eternal life. Jordan, Inez, Roger and family hold unto to this assurance. Blessings, Captain Bill Preston. Sydney Nova Scotia

I, too, remember the many visits she made at mom & dad's. I'm sure now she is smiling as she sits on Uncle Jim's knee, and Aunt Loraine is probably watching what they are up to! The Lewis Family: To know Brenda the way I did she will always have a special place in my heart. When I heard the horrible news yesterday morning I was devastated. Even though Brenda was sick for a while now, you would never think anything like this would happend to someone so young. Brenda was such an inspirational girl to everyone and in the last few years she touched a lot of peoples hearts. Her smiles, her laughs, and precious memories will always have a place in my heart. Brenda you will always be missed and forever remembered! *You will forever be my hero* RIP SIS.. I LOVE YOU! XOXO

Your gentle face and pleasant smile With sadness we recall. You had a kindly word for each and died Beloved by all. The voice is mute and stilled the heart That loved us well and true. Ah, bitter was the trial to part from one So good as you. You are not forgotten loved one, nor will You ever be. As long as life and memory last, we will Remember thee. We miss you now, our hearts are sore, as Time goes by we miss you more. Your loving smile, your gentle face. No one will fill your vacant place.

To the Lewis family: I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. I just had supper with Louise tonight and she always kept me posted on Brenda's health. There are no words to express the loss of a child, so all I will say is that we will be praying for you and your family as you journey through the next few days and all the days that will follow. We journeyed with a family and their son who had cancer for one whole year and the pain is great. There are no answers, but I pray that the memories will keep you smiling and keep keep your hearts "warm". May God comfort you at this time.
