Hector Powell, 84, passed away peacefully in the presence of his beloved family on June 19th, 2018. Hector leaves behind Alliene, his beautiful wife of 56 years, his only daughter, Marsha Powell-Winsor, who he adored so much, and her husband Craig, whom he was always proud to call his son. His two precious and much loved grandchildren Nicholas and Caroline were never far from his thoughts.
Hector was born on January 20th, 1934 in Victoria, Newfoundland. His happiest days began on August 5th, 1961 when he married the love of his life - Alliene Baldwin. For 56 years, they built a beautiful life together. Hector was greatly respected during his career as a Public Health Inspector, and delighted in his involvement in the community & church. Yet his legacy shone brightest through his love of family, and commitment to his Heavenly Father.
Further missing him dearly today are his six nieces and nephews in Newfoundland and their families: Glenda Clarke, Larry Baldwin, Dale Baldwin, Jerry Baldwin, Annette Baldwin, and Steven Baldwin. He also leaves behind his sister Marion Carnie, and his special niece Suzanne Parsons, her husband Gord, and their family.
Hector will be immeasurably missed by his circle of friends and family in Newfoundland as well as Ontario.
