Obituary of Helen Butt

Passed peacefully away after a short illness at Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, January 9, 2021, Helen Butt of Carbonear, age 85 years. Predeceased by husband: Melvin; infant son: Kevin; parents: Jacob and Alice Nicholas; sisters: Blanche and Violet; brothers: George and James. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Kathleen (Ambrose) Young, Patricia (Donald) Butt, both of Carbonear, and Marie (Darrin) Bruce, Harbour Grace; two sons: Michael (Kate), Carbonear, and Anthony (Shirley), Thickett; eleven grandchildren: Tina (Garry), Laura (Steve), Michael (Josh), David, Kevin (Wanda), Chrystal (Leo), Stephen (Pam), Stephanie (Bobby), Kelly (Tyler), Samantha (Colin), and Daniel; eleven great-grandchildren: Gwen, Jamie, Hunter, Jacqueline, Brooklyn, Ashley, Travis, Chloe, Caden, Jackson, and Claire; sisters-in-law: Diane Nicholas, Victoria and Theresa Butt, Carbonear; special friends: Winnie Butt and Elinor Moores, both of Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private visitation will take place at Noel’s Funeral Home, Carbonear, followed by funeral service at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Carbonear on Wednesday, January 13th, by invitation only. Interment in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carbonear.
