Obituary of Joyce Guilfoyle

Passed peacefully away in the loving arms of her best friend, her daughter Gail at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, Joyce Guilfoyle of Harbour Grace, age 85 years. Predeceased by her husband, Gerald; parents, Shenstone and Isobel Parsons; brothers, Hal, Lloyd, and George; sisters, Jean, Dot, Grace, Jennie, and Flo; special niece, Joyce. Leaving to mourn, her two adoring children who were her heart and soul, Terry (Tina), Fort McMurray, AB and Gail Guilfoyle (Dave) Earle, Harbour Grace; four precious and most cherished grandchildren, her reason for living, Chandler, Miranda, Adailia, and Shenstone; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Parsons and Bride Nolan; best friends, whom she valued in life, Gord and Beth Taylor, Florence Reynolds, and Yvonne Sheppard; also having a very special place in her heart, are her nephew, Boyd Ash and nieces, Donna Sultana, Linda Griesi, and Marilyn Farrell. Mom was a member of the UCW, where she had life-long friends whom she cherished dearly. Attending church services gave mom peace and comfort and the social functions afterwards was mom’s most treasured occasions. Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 23, by invitation only.
