Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Monday, November 8, 2021, Leslie F. Penney of Carbonear, age 90 years.
Predeceased by wife: Marlene; son: Douglas; parents: Capt. Stephen and Cecilia Penney; brothers: William 'Bill' (Kitty), Rob (Beulah), Malc (Glenys), Clyde, and Dolph; sisters: Mona (Max) Johnson, Norma (Jack) Penney, and Flora (Lloyd) Head.
Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Dallas (Roland) Clarke, Victoria and Christine (Byron) Power, Carbonear; four grandchildren: Christy (Wayne), Leslie (Trevor), Jessica (Greg), and Jeremy; four great-grandchildren: Clark, Benjamin, Easton, and Ace; one sister: Christine (Nath, deceased) Cole, Dartmouth, NS; sisters-in-law: Edith Penney, Barre, ON and Minnie Penney, St. John’s; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday, November 10 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service on Thursday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear.
Proof of vaccination will be required for visitation and funeral service.
