Obituary of Pius Colbert

Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Friday, January 28, 2022, Pius J. Colbert of Job's Cove, age 82 years. Predeceased by parents: Vincent and Alice; brothers: Tom and Raymond; sisters: Kay Lewis and Mary Connors. Leaving to mourn, wife: Betty; daughter: Colleen (Don) Norris, Lower Island Cove; two sons: Paul (Judy), Gull Island and Michael, Job’s Cove; six grandchildren: Ashley (Brian), Matthew (Deidre), Makayla, Gavin, Lacey, and Daniel; great-granddaughter: Zoey; five sisters: Eileen Johnson, Job’s Cove, Pauline (Neddie) Oliver, Gull Island, Genevieve (Lawrence) Oliver, Western Bay, Theresa Buckle, and Debbie Lee, both of USA; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Following pandemic guidelines, visitation by invitation only at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Monday, January 31. Funeral Mass by invitation only on Tuesday, February 1 at 11:00 a.m. from Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Northern Bay. Cremation to follow. Private family interment in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Northern Bay. Proof of vaccination required for visitation and funeral mass.
