Obituary of William Earle

Passed peacefully away at Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, William Earle of Victoria, age 81 years. William Earle was born in Carbonear, Newfoundland on November 19,1940. He married Betty Slade on July 17th, 1962 in Carbonear. William worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for over 22 years with Western Construction in Stephenville Crossing. Throughout his lifetime, William provided well for his family, although he was away from them while his children were growing up. He was a guitarist and singer of a local band – “The Island Four”. William loved to make beautiful woodworking tables for friends and family. His other hobbies included camping, hunting and fishing. William loved to spend time with his beloved grandchildren. Predeceased by wife: Betty (Slade); parents: Absalom and Laura Earle; siblings: John (Lil), Melvin (Anne), Rob (Ruby), Fronie, and Shirley Rose. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Carolann Parsons and Kelly (John) Loch; son: Barry; grandchildren: Kyle, Kenneth (Erica), Katrina (Ryan), Kelsey, and Anderson; great-grandchildren: Selby and Raymond Parsons; brother-in-law: Bram Rose, Victoria; as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, April 21, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Followed by funeral service at Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Carbonear at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 22, 2022 with Rev. Jarvis of the United Church of Victoria, officiating. Inurnment to follow at the United Church Cemetery in Victoria. The family of William Earle wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of 4 South at the Josiah Squibb Pavilion for their care over the past four months. A special thank you to Brittany Crawford (Dad called “The Boss”) for her special way with caring for Dad and to Joan Whalen for helping us visit Dad virtually during the pandemic.
