To Patsy & Family: We are so sorry to learn of Dave’s passing. As fellow students at St. Paul’s High School in Harbour Grace during the 60s and throughout our teaching careers on the Burin Peninsula his warm and friendly demeanor never changed. He was always cheerful, good-natured and good-humoured, which always contributed towards an enjoyable time whenever we ran into each other. It certainly must have been enjoyable being a student in Dave’s classes. May your precious and delightful memories be a tower of strength to you in the days ahead. The family of Robert “Dave” Peddle, We extend to you our sincere condolences as you grieve the death. Dave was a fellow student at St. Paul’s Central High School and a parishioner of St. Peter’s Church on the South Side. when I was in attending the same school. We reconnected at Jamison Academy in Burin Bay Arm where he was on the teaching staff and I was the School Chaplain and the Anglican Minister of the Parish of Marystown. Dave was very committed to the field of education especially as a classroom teacher and a supportive member of the Anglican Church. I shall always remember his jovial personality as well as his faithful contribution to education in our province. May Dave rest in peace in the nearer presence of God Rev. Canon Iliffe and Vivian Sheppard.

My Sweet Aunt Patsy, Micheal, Matthew and families. Myself, Sean and our boys Brayden and Bradley are so devastated by this loss. I know for you Micheal and Matthew the loss of a parent is one of the hardest moments in life that children have to go through. You never get over it, you just learn to deal with it as you move forward through life. He will live on through you and your children. To Aunt Patsy Your loss is one I can't imagine. The love of your life, the person who has been your best friend, confidante,husband, father of your children and everything in between. It's the 50% of you that you have to let go of. My heart aches so badly it hurts for you. I love you beyond measure. We are all here for you no matter what. I'll see you soon. Hugs and kisses. Carolyn Your loving neice and family.

Patsy, Michael and Matthew and families: Carol and I send our sincere condolences to you and your families at this most difficult time. Dave and I started our teaching together in Burin in 1973. In fact we stayed at the same boarding house for the first year. Dave was a great friend and very well liked by all who new him. He was indeed a great husband, father and grandfather to his immediate family. He will surely be missed. May you take comfort in the many great memories that you shared.
