Obituary of Megan Janes

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital, on March 17, 2025, Megan Janes of Lewisporte, formerly of Western Bay, age 39 years.
Predeceased by nephew: J. T. Homer.
Leaving to mourn, husband: Dennis; parents: Bruce and Rindy Homer; brother: Jason (Jennifer); nephews and nieces: Nathaniel (Brooke), Noah, Hannah, Abbie, and Adelaide; birth mother: Darlene Frye - Brennan (Angus); sister: April (Quentin) Scattini; nephew: Malachi; parents-in-law: Norma (Nelson) Osmond and Keith (Shirley) Janes; brother-in-law: Matt (Megan) Janes; special friend and cousin: Chris Garland; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Megan loved music and it was a big part of her life. She participated in Kiwanis Music Festival, attended music camp, played in church and shared her talent wherever she could. She later taught violin and piano as a private instructor. She loved her students and strived to be more than just a teacher.
Megan loved her dogs, rabbits, cats, and really, all creatures. Her fur babies were Bossa, Teddy, and Zelda.
Megan had an energy and zest for life that inspired many. Her beautiful smile will be greatly missed.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Western Bay on Wednesday, March 19 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, March 20 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Friday March 21, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria.
Interment in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the school music program at Lewisporte Collegiate, P. O. Box 250, Lewisporte, NL, A0G 3A0 or Bethel Pentecostal Youth Group, P. O. Box 9, Victoria, NL, A0A 4G0.
