Obituary of Darlene Kelloway

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, April 27 surrounded by loved ones, Zelma “Darlene” Kelloway, at the age of 80 yrs old.
Previously deceased by, son: Herbert Kelloway; parents: James and Mabel (nee Parsons) Kelloway; brothers: Herbert, Peter, and George; sisters: Emma Parsons, Patsy King, and Glenys Wareham.
Survived by her husband of 63 yrs, John H Kelloway; five children: Daphne Kavanagh (Donny), Bell Island NL, Rose Kelloway, Paris, ON, Teena Fiolek (Sam), Paris, ON, Cassie Kelloway, Salmon Cove, NL, Peter Kelloway (Lori-Anne) Bushell, Park, SK; fifteen grandchildren: Dawn, Ashley, Brant, Cassie, Kurtus, Kyle, Krista, Chad, Skye, Emily, Hannah, Jordan, Alexander, Blake, and Jackson; fourteen great-grandchildren with two more on the way; sisters-in-law: Daphne Hanrahan, Gander, NL, Ethel Green, London, ON, and Elsie Kelloway, Cambridge, ON; along with lots of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Darlene was a long time member of the LOBA UCW and was very involved with the Salmon Cove church choir. Darlene's love extended beyond her family. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome in her home. Friends, neighbors, even strangers; Darlene treated them all like family. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her kindness touched countless lives.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Friday, May 2 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 pm., Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove.
Interment at Riverside United Church Cemetery, Salmon Cove.
