I met a man named Utah Phillips and he gave me a nickel because brother could not spair a dime so he gave me half a chance and because I wear the black like Johnny and was a ex soldier and good union brother. Utah wrote songs for Johnny and was a Anarchist's Anarchist. He sat down and told me things about Johnny why Utah himself wrote Rock salt and nails and why the Nine inch nails lead wrote Hurt it was not a suicide note but a warning and he told me about a traditional folk song and sermon a warning from God. My condolences to Bruce, Linda, Neil, and extended family. my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. The Dean family is a part of my childhood, and Ev and i spent a few summers with the rest of our buddies being carefree and happy and without worry. May it consol you at this saddened time of loss that I am one of many who hold Ev close in memory. Rest in peace Ev, thank-you for all the fun and laughs in our childhood times together.
