Joel made a tremendous impact on others in his short life. He was an “old soul”, who loved the outdoors and making others laugh. He cared deeply for his younger brother and was innately his protector. If we can learn anything from Joel’s untimely passing, it is to enjoy life’s simple pleasures each day and to show kindness to others.
We would like to send a heartfelt thank-you to the health care teams at Carbonear General Hospital, IWK Children’s Hospital in Halifax and Janeway Children’s Hospital for the kind and compassionate care provided to Joel and his family during his hospital admission.
