Obituary of Edith (Taylor) Pye
Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on July 21, 2025, Edith (Taylor) Pye of Bristol's Hope, age 81 years.
Predeceased by first husband: Harry Taylor; parents: Harry & Violet Peddle; brothers: Henry, Reginald, Albert, and James; sister: Cynthia; and stepdaughter: Sharon.
Leaving to mourn, loving husband of 25 years: Chesley; sons: Steve (Philomena), Scott (Marie), and Doug (Joanne); 10 grandchildren: Stephen (Shelby), Robyn (Josh), Rebecca, Rachel, Victoria, Kareema, Chris, Winslow, Camryn, and Andrew; 3 great-grandchildren: Carter, Claire, and Nora; brothers: Dave (Ada), Chesley (Ann), Eric (Harriet); sisters: Elaine and Shirley (Bob); sisters-in-law: Opal, Shirley, and Myrtle; stepchildren: Lisa (Herb), Karl, Allison (Dwayne), Michael (Lori), and other members of the Pye family; also a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff on 4 South for the exceptional care given to Edith.
Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Wednesday, July 23 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, July 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from Coughlan United Church, Harbour Grace.
Interment in Coughlan United Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to 4 South, Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear, NL.
