Obituary of Myrtle Clarke

Passed away after a short illness at Health Science Centre, St. John's on Friday, August 29, 2025, Myrtle Clarke of Lower Island Cove, age 78 years.

Predeceased by parents: William and Lillian Garland; parents-in-law: Lockhart and Pearl Clarke; sisters: Florence LeShane and Mabel Sparkes; sister- in-law: Geri Garland; brother-in-law; Philip LeShane.

Leaving to mourn, loving husband of 51 years: John; brothers: Fred and Gordon (Peggy); sister: Jacqueline (Ike) Gilbert; sisters-in-law: Linda (Bill) Anstey and Beverly (Pat) Coombs; brother-in-law: Philip Sparkes; special great niece: Avery Pittman; also a large number of nieces and nephews from the Garland and Clarke families who were so special to "Aunt Myrtle" in every way; cousins and a large circle of friends; special friend: Alma Blundon (Chum).

Visitation at Memorial United Church, Burnt Point on Tuesday, September 2 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, September 3 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Burnt Point. Burial to be held at a later date.

Due to her love of animals, in lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to an animal charity of one's choice.
