Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, September 1, 2025, Dorothy Combdon of Victoria, age 77 years.

Predeceased by parents: Chesley and Alfreda Clarke; great-grandchild: Kayson Peach; special nephew: Perry Clarke; and nephew: Nathaniel Little.

Leaving to mourn, loving husband: Augustus; daughter: Lynette (Bruce) Ross; son: Chesley Robert Kenneth (Karen); stepchildren: Hazel (Jerome), Sheila (Rod), Horace, and Elaine (John); grandchildren: Matthew (Kim), Rebecca (Jeremy), Jennifer (Justin), and Crystal (Michael); step-grandchildren: Amy (Joe), Christopher (Linda), Marina (Blake), Netallia, Lexie, Brittany, and Stephen; 22 great-grandchildren; brother: Dave (Doris); sister: Mary (Charlie) Little; special nieces: Sarah (Allan) and Kari (Joe); cousin: Janice Swain, who was like a sister to her; home care workers: Helena Carnell, Tracey Slade, and Joanne Courage; also a large number of other relatives and friends.

Dorothy was a gifted seamstress; altering many wedding gowns, boy scout scarves, and graduation dresses. She probably hemmed every man's pants in the community over the years. She also helped many different children with their math exams. She loved camping. She was a homecare worker, and a wonderful homemaker who welcomed everyone into her home and took care of her own mom until the end.  We will all miss her so much.
