Obituary of Aubrey Crane

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, Aubrey Crane of Bryant's Cove, age 68 years.

Predeceased by parents: William and Greta Crane; brothers: Leslie Crane, Gordon Crane, and Lloyd Crane; brother-in-law: Warren Lynch; sisters-in-law, Shirley Reid, Edith Pye and Elva Pye; brother-in-law: Stan Pye.

Leaving to mourn, wife: Linda; daughters: Lisa (Matt) Taylor, Donna (Johnny) Le, Laura (Nick) Davenport, and Andrea Oliver (Corey Curtis); grandchildren: Caden, Rachel, Wyatt, Ireland, Alexis, Harlee, and Isabella; brother: Phil (Daisy) Crane; sisters: Frances Lynch and Dorothy Crane; brothers-in-law: Dougal (Dorothy) Pye, Ches Pye and Don (Maxine) Pye; sisters-in-law: Margaret Crane and Shirley Crane; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Aubrey was a man of quiet strength, deep kindness, and unwavering love. His wonderful sense of humour and playful spirit could light up any room, always finding a way to bring smiles to those around him. No matter what he was doing, he was never too busy for a chat, making everyone feel welcome and cared for. He taught us the value of hard work, honesty, and compassion — not just in his words, but in the way he lived every day. His laughter, wisdom, and steady presence will be profoundly missed, yet his love will continue to guide us always. Though he is no longer with us, the memories we shared and the lessons he gave will remain in our hearts forever.

Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Monday, September 8 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 9 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.

Funeral service to take place on Tuesday September 9 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace.

Interment at St. Andrew's Anglican Cemetery, Bryant’s Cove.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
