Obituary of George Seymour Emberley
Passed peacefully away surrouned by his loving family at Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, September 11, 2025, George Emberley of Cavendish, formerly of Bay de Verde, age 78 years.
Predeceased by parents: John and Susan; brothers: Joe and Bill; sisters: Mary, Elsie, Ida, and Florence; parents-in-law : Clarence and Florence Legge; brothers-in-law: Martin, Chess, Ambrose, Jack, and Tom; sisters-in-law: Carol and Hazel.
Leaving to mourn, loving wife of 53 years, Ruby; daughters: Tammy (Tim) and Mary (Neil); son: Bill; grandchildren: Robin, Brittany (Willie), Sarah, Abby (Michael), Jayde (Michael), William, Adam, Caleb (Brooklyn); great-grandchildren: Ariah, Beckham, Lucy, Grayson, Kayson, Soren, George, Jaxson, Lily, and Hudson; sisters: Leona and Tilly (Bert); brothers-in-law : Cluney, Wilfred (Jenny), Ralph, Mike (Karen), and Larry (Crystal); sisters-in-law : Barb and Cathy (Mike); also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Special thank you to the staff of Chancellor Park Nursing Home, St.John’s, St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, 6th Floor Staff of Carbonear General Hospital, and 3 North Staff of Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavallion, Carbonear for their constant care and compassion.
Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday, September 14 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, September 15 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, September 16 at 1:30 p.m. from St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Bay de Verde.
Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Bay de Verde.
