Mrs. Hunt, Steven and the Hunt Family, sorry to hear of Mr. Hunt’s passing. I grew up always calling him Mr. Hunt, and one of the earliest memories of both him and Mrs. Hunt was at Terra Nova Park in the 70’s. We as kids, 4 or 5 of us were instructed to head to Mr. Hunts campsite to learn how to barbecue a steak. Mr. Hunt was surprised he would have our company while he barbecued, but he made the best of it. The part of the meticulous process was to “seal the meat”, I always remembered that, and to this day think of that, when we barbecue. Please accept our sincere condolences on your loss.

Agnes and Steve: So very sorry to hear of Lonses passing. We have many great memories of our days camping in Backside Park and Terra Nova. For many years our annual summer vacation was our trip to Terra Nova with Lonse and Agnes. We shared many good times together. Lonse was very creative and we actually still have his one of a kind propane lantern hanger that he made for us. Many back then always stopped by to enquire as to where we purchased it. I’m sure he could have marketed his product. Lonse was a very quiet gentleman and we will always treasure the memories we have.
