Obituary of Mark Joseph Walsh

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Joseph Walsh, aged 84 years, of Bay de Verde. Mark passed peacefully away at the Dr. A.A. Wilkinson Hospital in Old Perlican on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

Predeceased by his loving parents, William and Alice Walsh; sister, Marina Power; nephew, Glenn Power; and great-nephew, Kyle Snelgrove.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his devoted sisters, Margaret Rice and Gertie Walsh (Stan), who were always by his side; his son, Randy Walsh; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews — all of whom he deeply treasured. 

Uncle Mark was a kind hearted, loving, and giving man who touched countless lives. He will be sadly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, or who enjoyed the comfort of his daily phone calls.

The family extends a sincere thank you to the staff of the Dr. A.A. Wilkinson Hospital for their compassionate and attentive care during his recent stay.

Visitation at Assumption Parish, Bay de Verde on Thursday, September 25 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, September 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral service with Mass to take place on Saturday, September 27 at 10:00 a.m. from Assumption Parish, Bay de Verde.

Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bay de Verde.
