Obituary of Gladys Dora Tucker

Gladys, Tucker - Passed very peacefully away with family at Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavillion, Carbonear on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Gladys Tucker of Carbonear, age 87 years.

Predeceased by husband: Warren; parents: Peter and Priscilla Sparkes; a large number of extended family members.

Leaving to mourn, daughter: Joy (Rod) Loveys; son: Darrell (Mary); grandchildren: Alana (Evan), Colin (Adelaide), Nathan (Sarah), and Blake (Susan); great-grandchildren: Rowan; brother: Lewis (Carol-Ann) Sparkes; cousin: Marjorie Tucker; special friend: Alice Blundon; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff in Long Term Care who have cared for Gladys in recent years. Their kind words and deeds will not be forgotten.

Our mom will be remembered for her boundless energy, positive thinking, desire to help others, and love for family. And of course, her cooking and baking! In accordance with her enduring faith she is undoubtedly rushing around heaven’s kitchen warmly welcoming all to a cup of tea and her smiles.

Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Friday, October 3 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, October 4th, 2025 at 11:00am from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Water Street, Carbonear. 

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Bethany United Church, 2 Church Street, Carbonear, A1Y 1A9.
