Obituary of Marina Elizabeth Hudson
Passed peacefully away surrounded by her three children at Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavillion, Carbonear on October 15, 2025, Marina Hudson of Adams Cove, age 87 years.
Predeceased by husband: Robert; parents: John and Elvie Rose; brother: James Rose; brother-in-law: George Peckham.
Leaving to mourn, daughter: Linda (Fred) Kennedy; sons: David (Sherry) and Bob (Debbie); 7 grandchildren: Barry (Angie), Jason (Rochelle), Shawna (Geoff), Ashley (Mitchell), Andrew (Jaime), Christopher (Nancy), and Stacey; 8 great-grandchildren: Hailey, Cody, Jaden, Lucas, Charlie, Hudson, Lilah, and Tyler; sisters: Ruby Peckham and Ethel (Wendell) Reid; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Marina took pride in the fact that she worked at the Grace Hospital for 18 years, where she was loved by so many of her coworkers and made many cherished friendships.
Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved spending time with them as well as all her family. She enjoyed baking and cooking, and could whip up a delicious meal in a moment’s notice. She welcomed everyone into her home.
Knitting and crocheting were her favourite pasttimes, and she was fabulous at both. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping. She loved to sit and enjoy anyone who was willing to sing a tune or play the guitar or accordion.
She will be greatly missed by all her family.
The family would like to thank the staff of 3 South for their exceptional care, and a special thank you to Santina for going above and beyond.
