Obituary of Gerald Watson Saunders

It is with sadness that the family of the late Gerald W. Saunders of Shearstown announce his passing. Gerald passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the age of 95.

Predeceased by wife: Elizabeth; infant daughter: Laura; parents: Jack and Rose Saunders; brothers: Robert (Judy), Bill Ballam; sister: Sylvia.

Leaving to mourn, son: Jerry; brothers: Jack (Patricia), Aubrey (Linda), Wayne (Doreen), and Rex (Beverly - deceased); sisters: Daisy (David) Kolp; also a large number of other relatives and friends.

Visitation at Moore's Funeral Home, Water Street, Bay Roberts on Monday, October 20 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 21 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from Moore's Funeral Home, Water Street, Bay Roberts.

Interment to follow at the Gospel Preachers Cemetery, Shearstown.
