Obituary of Frances Myrtle Burke

It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Frances Burke of Victoria announce her passing. Frances passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavillion in Carbonear on Friday, October, 31, 2025 at the age of 85.  

Predeceased by huband: Samuel; parents: Avert and Ethel Rowsell; sisters: Alma, Rose, and Barb; brothers: Ron, Reg, and Ran.

Leaving to mourn, daughters: Beverly (Ron) McDonald, Diane (Larry) Baldwin, and Debbie (Elvis) Hiscock; sons: Wayne (Glenda) and Sheldon; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters: Shirley, Dorothy, Diane (Angelo), Marjorie (Alec), and Judy (Cliff); also a large number of other relatives and friends.

Our beautiful mom loved her family very much, they were her life. She loved to cook, especially large family meals, and bake.

She enjoyed volunteering at her church for many years, and being part of the church choir. She was a great conversationalist and was well-versed in many areas.

She has left us with a strong legacy of faith in God and love for each other. We are thankful for her life and the hope of seeing her again.

Visitation at Noel's Memorial Chapel, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday, November 2 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Monday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.

Funeral service to take place on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Water Street, Carbonear.

Interment to follow in Victoria United Church Cemetery.
