Penney Family
Nina and family, please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of your loved one. Fred Penney was indeed a light in a dark world. His smile and his interest in us and our ministry was always appreciated. Fred was a sincere and faithful follower of Christ and for that we give God Praise.
God’s Word, is truth, “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Continue to be comforted, knowing that your loved one, leaves you, having fought a good fight, having kept the faith, and having received the crown of righteousness.
Hold fast to the many cherished memories, the great hope of Heaven and the promise that “the dead in Christ shall rise first and we who are alive and remain will be caught up to meet them in the clouds, to be with our Lord forever.”

Sending our sincere condolences to aunt Nina and families, uncle Fred will be sadly missed by all that had the opportunity to know him. A kind, gently man with a heart of gold that loved his family unconditionally. No matter when I visited him he would always ask how everyone was doing and he never left anyone out, and he would always tell me that he loved me when I was leaving. The Penney Family,
I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Mr. Penney this past summer at the evacuation centre at Carbonear Academy. He was the definition of a gentleman. He was very soft spoken, but what he said was always thoughtful. He was always so appreciative of everyone’s help. We found out that he was a lover of Newfoundland stories, so we asked Keith Thomas with the historical society if he could get us some books. They had a grand chat that day about working at the plant.
I am glad he spent his last days at home with his beautiful family. It was a pleasure to have spent time with him this summer and to get to know him.
