Passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers, St. John’s on November 20, 2025, Douglas Moores of Long Pond, CBS, formerly of Lower Island Cove, age 72 years.

Predeceased by father: Melvin Moores; sister: Elizabeth Banfield; mother-in-law: Joan Parsons; brother-in-law: Terry Banfield.

Leaving to mourn, daughter: Penny (Stephen Hollett); sons: Tyson (Dana Snow) and Wayne (Tim) Tanner; their mother: Barbara; granddaughter: Ellie; brother: Don Bursey; father-in-law: Ralph Parsons; brothers-in-law: Perry (Karen) and Paul; niece: Amanda Bursey (Jonathan); also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Sincere thanks to the staff of Pleasant View Towers for all your care over the past three years.

As per Doug’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private interment will take place in the Blackhead United Cemetery at a later date.
