Edith Dora was born in Adam’s Cove, NL friends called her Dora... family called her D’oh! Mom had a vivacious personality that you never knew what she was going to say or do. Her family was her most treasured pride and joy along side of shopping, chocolate, purses, shoes, and anything shiny. No one knew her age and she credited that to her Mary Kay. She loved to see the shock on people's faces when she told them the truth. Mom will always be remembered as being a very giving person. One of her favourite joys was to give lavishly to her loved ones and see the joy on their faces especially, when she prepared for birthdays and Christmas so far in advance. Giving was a way of life for her, not only in material things but with her time and love. You could always count on mom to not only show up but always arrive 30 mins ahead of time. If you showed up on time then she considered you already late. Dora was a dedicated woman from the north shore, she loved to visit Adams Cove and take part in flower services, the harvest festival and anything that had to do with the community she loved. She would even make time to visit her family members, up and down the shore. These are just a few of the qualities that make up who our mom was.
In keeping with her zest for life she has requested that everyone wear RED instead of black at her celebration of life.
