Obituary of Hazel M. Badcock
Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, December 5, 2025, Hazel M. Badcock of Bay Roberts, age 83 years.
Predeceased by husband: Robert; daughter: Emmie Thompson; parents: John and Edith Squires; sisters: Annie (Sid) Murrin, Ruby Squires, and Dot (Ches) Badcock; brothers: Silas Squires, Roy Squires, and Gideon Squires; sisters-in-law: Shirley (Vern) Petten, Vera (Warrick) Young, and Minnie (Arch) Badcock; brothers-in-law: Laurie Simms, Reg Mugford, and Calvin Bussey.
Leaving to mourn, sons: Bob (Gloria) and Ron (Denise); son-in-law: Doug (Rona) Thompson; grandchildren: Sandi (Darrell), Robert (Natalie), Tyler (Faith), Ashley (Brandon), Emily (Anthony), Nathan (Courtney), Chelsea, and Ronson; great-grandchildren: Amelia and Ross; sisters: Alice Simms, Vera (Marvin) Youden, Fern Mugford, Betty Squires, and Louise Squires; sister-in-law: Betty Bussey; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Special thank you to the 7th floor doctors and nursing staff of Carbonear General Hospital for their loving care and compassion.
Visitation at Central United Church, Water Street, Bay Roberts on Monday, December 8 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, December 10 at 2:00 p.m. from Central United Church, Water Street, Bay Roberts.
Interment in Central United Cemetery, Bay Roberts.
