Passed peacefully away at Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavillion, Carbonear on Sunday, December 14, 2025, Jean George of Heart's Content, age 88 years.

Predeceased by husband: Herbert; parents; Frank and Rebecca Legge; son: Robin; granddaughter; Laura; infant sister: Dorothy; brothers: Gerald, Clifford, and Maxwell; sisters: Judy and Edith; special niece: Kimberley Legge; nephew: Peter Kanelos.

Leaving to mourn, daughter: Glendene (Donald) Turner; sons: Herbert (Lorna), Kenneth (Ruth), Jeffrey (Shelia), Gerald (Karen), and Dean (Mandy); grandchildren: Kenny (Darlene), Dawn (Al), Krista (Frankie), Adam (Vanessa), Stephen, Ashley (Ryan), Allison (Justin), Timothy (Dana), Julie (Logan), Megan (Mark), Sarah (Kurtis), and Caleb (Tess); great-granchildren: Nathan, Brianna, Warren (Kerri), Jaiden, Khloe, Emma, Carys, Olivia, Ethan, Jack, Avery, Jayce, Madison, Austin, Jaxton, Henry, and Logan; great-great-grandchildren: Finley and Oaklyn; brothers: Frank (Eileen), Herb (Fiona), and Randy (Heather); sister: Shelia (Greg) Langer; brothers-in-law: Aubrey Legge and Jim Kanelos; sisters-in-law: Ida Legge and Debbie Legge; special friend: Sybil Underhay; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Heart's Content on Friday, December 19 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, December 20 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Heart's Content. Interment in St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Heart's Content.
