Obituary of Dorman Maxwell Mugford

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, December 28, 2025, Dorman Mugford of Makinsons, age 86 years.

Predeceased by wife: Alice; parents: James and Nellie; son: Ross (Sharon); brothers: Roy (Marge), George (Laveta), Melvin, and Sandy; sister: Evelyn (Harold) Clarke; parents-in-law: Walter and Rose Petten; brothers-in-law: Eric Porter and Fred Snow.

Leaving to mourn, daughters: Brenda (Carl) Efford and Kimberley Lake; grandchildren: Brittany, Michael, Samantha, Mitchell, Kaylee, Christa (Nino), Nicole (Dalton), and Tara (Jared); great-grandchildren: Katanna, Rayden, Elliot, Matteo, Everleigh, and Caius; partner: Betty Squires; brother: Dave (Sheila); sisters: Alva Porter and Louise Snow; sisters-in-law: Evelyn and Kate Mugford; also a large number of other relatives and friends.

Visitation at Moore's Funeral Home, Water Street, Bay Roberts on Monday, December 29 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, December 31 at 2:00 p.m. from the Parish of the Resurrection Church, South River.

Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Makinsons at a later date.
