Obituary of Christopher John Mullaly

Please share a memory of Christopher to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Christopher John Mullaly on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the age of 77 years. He passed peacefully with the love of his life, Eileen, and his daughter, Cassandra, by his side.

Chris was born in Northern Bay on January 30, 1948. He was so proud to be living on the land that he was born on.

As a young man, Chris left Newfoundland and spent many years in Ontario where he started his family. Cassandra was born in 1979, and Colin came along soon after in 1980. Many miles were spent travelling back and forth to see each other. He made many, many lasting friendships while there that he maintained over the years. Newfoundland called him home and in 1996, he ventured back. He became a proud business owner for many years with family and friends working alongside him. He was able to rekindle childhood friendships and build stronger relationships with his family.  Along the way, he met Eileen and was fortunate to spend the last twelve years of his life with her. She was a wonderful companion and caregiver to him as he grew ill.

Chris’ greatest joy was his grandchildren: Kaleb, Carson, and Olivia. He never ever missed an opportunity to brag about them. Time with them was incredibly precious. He always “loved them more”.

Chris was predeceased by his mother, Margaret and his father, Will John, along with his brother, Austin, and niece, Lesley.

He is survived by his love, Eileen; his daughter: Cassandra and son-in-law: Rob; his son: Colin; along with his three grandchildren: Kaleb, Carson, and Olivia. He also leaves Eileen’s sons: Chad and Kent, and their families. Also left to mourn his passing are his siblings: Bernice (Larry), Gennie (Jerry), Patrick (Linda), Nora (Tim), and Bertille. He had many nieces and nephews that he adored and always took an interest in. He was lucky enough to have his Aunt Nora and Uncle Adrian still in his life.

Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Road, Western Bay on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

A celebration of life will take place on July 18 at his home with everyone welcome to come, have a drink on him, and enjoy a meal.
