To Jettie, Tina and Scott, I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. Steve and I were very close growing up, not only because we were first cousins but we were the same age and we hung out together. I especially remember all the times that we went sliding on the hills of Lower Island Cove. I remember Steve as a very kind and great friend. Steve has left wonderful memories that will be remembered by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Bob Bursey

Sincere condolences to the Bursey family . I remember Steve as a loyal customer of Quin-Sea Fisheries Ltd .. Steve was a firm reasonable no nonsense negotiator of his annual fish prices . Although at times tough to deal with he would give the shirt off his back anytime to anyone in need . We had a mutual respectful relationship . Steve earned respect and will be remembered for it . May he rest in peace .

I remember the time my family visited NFLD when I was very young and Uncle Steve took us out for a boat ride on his jig. I’ve told that story to my own family and grandson, so that they’ll always remember Uncle Steve through my memory of him and in that way, he’ll always be alive in our hearts, in one way or another. I’ll miss him dearly, even though all I have left of him are my treasured memories.
