Obituary of Steve Bursey

Passed peacefully away at his residence on Thursday, February 12, 2026, Steve Bursey of Lower Island Cove, age 81 years.

Predeceased by parents: Walter and Eliza; brothers: John (Anne) and Charl (Joan); son-in-law: Tony Snelgrove; great-grandson: Levi.

Leaving to mourn, loving wife of 59 years, Joyce; daughter: Tina (Terry); son: Scott (Sheri); grandchildren: Tyler (Megan), Ryan (Becca), Kyle (Abbey), Mitchell (Maleaha), Naomi, Victor, and Christian; great-grandchildren: Jordyn and Daxten; brothers: Fred (Virginia), Paul (Janice), and Clyde (Doreen); sisters: Myrtle (Cyril-deceased) Manual, Mable (Dave- deceased) Andrews, and Ruby (Bill-deceased) Woodcock; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation at the Salvation Army Church, Lower Island Cove on Monday, February 16 from 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 17 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, Febraury 17 at 2:00 p.m from the Salvation Army Church, Lower Island Cove.

Cremation to follow, with a burial to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to his family.
