Obituary of Daphne Hussey

Passed peacefully away in the presence of her devoted family at The Agnes Pratt Home, St. John’s on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, Daphne Hussey of Port de Grave, born in Chapel Arm, age 73 years.

Predeceased by parents: Hector and Lillian Reid; parents-in-law: Maxwell and Greta Hussey; brothers: Donald Reid, Clinton Reid, Eric Reid, and Melvin Reid; sisters: Muriel Grace Reid, Iris Lake, Evelyn Bradbury, Gloria Myers; sister-in-law; Maxine Hussey; brothers-in-law: Paul Hussey, Ken Bradbury, William Bishop, Jim Myers; special friends: Keith and Mary Lou Johnson.

Leaving to mourn, loving husband: Rex Hussey; daughter: Jessica ( Michael) Holmes; son: Sandy (Allison) Hussey; grandchildren, the lights of her life: Alex and Seth Hussey, and Jacob Holmes; brothers: Max (Judy) Reid and Rick (Barb) Reid; sisters: Ollie Moores, Peggy (Dorm) Matchim, and Gail (Roger) Wilkins; sisters-in-law: Theresa Reid, Muriel Randell, Maxine Bishop, and Sandra Hussey; brothers-in-law: Jim Lake, Edwin (Lois Bourne) Hussey, and Guy (Edwina) Hussey; very special friends: Jane Thompson (maid of honor) and Andy Verniquet, Rox-ann and Windsor Woodman. Also leaving to mourn a large extended family.

Visitation at Moore's Funeral Home, Water Street, Bay Roberts on Friday, April 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, April 18 at 2:00 p.m. from Central United Church, Bay Roberts. Interment in the United Cemetery, Port de Grave.
